My practice offers two complementary services: therapy and evaluations, both centered on helping clients gain clarity and support.

Therapy

Individual Therapy

I work individually with children as young as 4 and through adolescence, as well as with young adults. My approach is eclectic, depending on a patient’s developmental age, referral reason, and engagement in the therapeutic process. My practice is neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ affirming.

Parent Consultation

Sometimes parents need some guidance and support as they navigate the shifting tides that come with raising children. I offer curated support on a consultative basis for parents who would benefit from professional input about both specific behavioral or developmental challenges as well as general parenting issues.

Evaluations

Comprehensive Neuropsychological Assessment

This comprehensive evaluation includes the following areas of functioning (6-8 hours in-office):

Intellectual functioning (more colloquially referred to as IQ)
Academic achievement: assessment of academic skills (reading, math, written language) and their respective components, with more in-depth assessment of certain aspects of academic functioning when warranted
Attention and executive functioning: formal measures of attention, cognitive flexibility, inhibition, organization, strategizing, etc.
Learning and memory: visual and auditory measures administered
Visual processing/visual-motor integration: paper and pencil tasks to assess handwriting potential, fine motor skills, and visual perception
Language screening: assessment of expressive and receptive language skills completed informally, with more in-depth assessment when warranted
Social-emotional functioning: screening for anxiety, mood disorders, autism, etc.

Targeted Evaluations:

I also provide shorter, more targeted evaluations that are focused on attention, social-emotional functioning, autism, or other specific disorders. These evaluations involve about 1-2.5 hours of in-office testing.

Private school admissions testing (This evaluation involves about 1.5-2 hours of in-office testing):
- Specialized assessment for admission to independent schools, curated to their specific requirements

Gifted program testing (This evaluation involves about 1-1.5 hours of in-office testing):
- Assessment of specific intellectual skills for gifted and talented program placement

Mensa testing (This evaluation involves about 1-1.5 hours of in-office testing):
- Assessment of IQ for admission into the “High IQ Society”
